HISTORY
Magsaysay High school was established in this town on July 13, 1993 under the leadership of Brgy. Captain Francisco Ruiz, and with azealous and generous assistance of Mr. Mario Delos Reyes, The Teacher-In-Charge of Magsaysay Elementary School, and Brgy. Councilor namely: Ramon Ilano, Nazario Tubale, Anatolia Villamor, Pedro Evangelista, Santos Besenio, Vicente Dela Torre, Mila Botor, The treasurer and VIcente Corpuz, The Brgy. Secretary.
The first school year (1993-1994) was opened with forty (40) Male and 24 Female first year high school students.
This school was first named Magsaysay Barangay High School because of its basic operational fundings, such as the salaries of teachers, among others, were being sourced out by the barangay COuncil, with the voluntary contributions from the constituents of this barangay.
Eventually, in 1995, with the DECS program of assuming and providing the school's basic financial requirements, it was renamed into what it is today. However , its separation from its mother school, being an annexed school of Sagrada High School, Tinambac, Camarines Sur, still an on- going process, to become a fully independent school with direct access to DEPED-Camarines Sur.
The 2 hectare school site, where the school's humble beginning lies up to its premature status at present, was donated by the kindhearted family of Mr. Ernesto Reyta.
In the first few months of its operation, the school was manned by its first and only teacher, Ms. Diosa Ocampo, The first Teacher-In-Charge. An Energetic and determined lady teacher, aided by supportive barangay officials and parents, she managed to perform basic functions in the newly opened school, including recruitment of the first batch of enrollees and teaching them the subjects for first year all by herself.
The first male teacher, Mr. Noel Monserate, had served the school for only a month. He was replaced by Mr. Antonio Asoro, who helped Ms. Ocampo n Handling THE, PEHM and Math Subjects. Ms. Ma. Theresa Tripulca also served as a substitute teacher, and Ms. Rose Castro, as a volunteer Teacher and received remunerations from local funds - voluntary contributions from the parents - for (1 1/2) one and a half years.
However, Few months after the opening of the second year, Ms. Ocampo's erformance of duty had been misinterpreted for being over-strict and over discipliarian to students, as complained by some parents through the Parent-Teacher Association. And this prompted her to leave the school and accepted her transfer of assignment.
In the middle of school year 1994-1995, Mr. Leo B. Bolalin, a native of this barangay and a public school teacher, had been appointed as the school's new TIC. With him was another new lady teacher, Ms. Besenio, an English Teacher, both on a deployment status.
Amidst political and administrative conflict that resulted in the first transition of the school, Mr. Bolalin never gave up his strong determination. His sincere dedication to serve his fellowmen never failed. He efficiently managed bringing out the school's function to be an effective learning center for the youth of this barangay.
In barely five years of immature yet productive existence, Magsaysay High School took pride in producing its pioneer graduates endowed with technical know-how and critical thinking that defines a more worthy goal in life. It was capable of facing the challenges that lies ahead to a greater vision, albeit insurmountable problems that it had encountered, indeed it can stand the test of time and it will continue to move forward, to explore new horizons, and to elevate its educational standard for the common good of the youth.
On May 30, 2012 Mr. Ave Adonis A. Ricardo assumed the position as the Officer-In-Charge of Magsaysay National High School and followed by Celerino R. Jacob .
At present, the school is headed by the new School Head, Mrs. Teresita N. Lopez. and there are 14 junior permanent teachers under the plantilla, 2 borrowed teachers from Mother School Sagrada High School and 1 Senior high school teacher..
